I just bought motorola v600. Does anyone know any sites where I can dl mp3 rings? I have the USB data cable but I never used before. Maybe anyone knows any sites that talk about how to work with the data cable.
    Thanks

the way i did it was to create the ringtone on my computer from my mp3 collection and then e-mail it to my phone as an attachement. works just fine.. dont have to pay for the ring tones

Damnit. I can't get the usb cable to work. Does anyone know how to set it up? I found a usb modem driver and finally installed v600 on my pc, but it shows up as a modem. Does that mean that its just going to work as a modem? How do I transfer pics and rings through it? Been working on it for like 4 hours now.

i dunno if it will work for your phone or not.. i just setup my email (pop & smtp settings) on the phone, and e-mailed them from my computer to myself. then checked my mail on my cell phone and it downloaded the attachment.. i've made like 12 ring tones.. its pretty easy to do. just open the ring tone in audacity, isolate the part you want, set a fade in/out, set it to a low bitrate & output.
