    Hi,
Is there a possible way to convert a PAL DVD to NTSC in DVDShrink as it has a Region DVD tab.. so I was just thinking if it was possible. Another question. I read on DOOM9 that when you re-author in DVDShrink you cannot keep the menu's from the previous DVD... well is it possible to keep the menu's from the previous DVD after removing extras, commentaries, and additional audio tracks? That is because I just want to remove the links to the files that have been deleted so they don't stay on the DVD.. any help? Is there anyway to do this without re-authoring the DVD?

    Regards,

No, dvd shrink will not convert PAL to NTSC or vice versa, the region is something totaly diff. from the format.

2nd, yes you can keep the menus in shrink, you can keep or get rid of anything using shrink while still keeping the menu's. you will not get rid of the links but it will replace the removed material with a still photo for about 6 seconds (i believe) then return to the main menu or next track.

Where did you read on doom9 that you can't keep the menus using shrink ?

  3. Try Menuedit,it will eliminate the links.

That will disable the links but the actual text will remain on the menu correct ?

    Hi,
How is DVD-ReMake PRO? Is it good? Does it work good? How do you use CCE to encode my DVD files and remove extras and everything? Can that be done with CCE since it has much better quality.

  6. You don't use CCE to remove extras, etc. That is the task for DvdReMake (among other things). after that you simply run the disk through DVD Rebuilder - which will use CCE encoder to fit the disk into DVD5.

I have always thought you could not keep menus in re-author mode using shrink ??? My guide said you lose that function when you re-author.. So is there a way? If so would you point towards a guide that explains how you can?
    Thank you.

Not with DVDShrink, but you can do it with CloneDVD.

Yes, DVD-ReMake PRO is good, but don't expect it to compress the video. It wasn't designed to do this.
