    well after reading lots of peoples comments i am 99% going to get 1 of these within next few weeks, can people give me a list of disks that this has no problems burning also somewhere for a resonable price in UK, thank you all.

    TY +R 8x media burned to 16x - although I normally burn at 4x to be safe.

    Current batches of TDK -R media are not used at their "nominal" speeds - only 2x. My old SONY DRU500A would not burn them higher than 2x also and my LiteOn burner in the office with latest f/w doesn't either (all burn 8x media at 2x).

    Use Verbatim, TY, Maxell or Phillips media, my choice is +R
    The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
