transferring between xbox's

what would i have to do to transfer stuff between two xboxes, im trading mine for some one else, but he has some stuff on it he doen't wanna loose, is there a way i can transfer the stuff simple and easy between the both

Plug both into a router that is hooked up to a pc

i have a dsl cable router, ihave them both hooked up through the router, none of them are detected on my pc though, whats are you trying to tell me...holla back

You have to FTP to them via an FTP client like FlashFXP. Do you have Evox installed? Do you have IP addresses assigned for each Xbox? (check the settings option on the Evox menu). Input these IP addresses into your FTP client and file transfer until your hearts content.

this whole thing isn't working for me, cause i dont know what type of chip i hAVE, and i dont wanna flash it with something and f)(*&^% up my xbox, this is now my second guess, can i take out the xbox HD, then put it ion my comp, remove the files i need and then put it back in, all i wanna do is move these game saves to another xbox...holla back

If all you want to do is move your games saves if you can find an xbox to usb adaptor you can hook an external usb drive and move the saves to it then transfer to the new drive no modchip required for this

If you take xbox with the stuff you want to save if its modded is do this

Save it to your pc then then just transfer it the same way back to the new one after its modded

or

If your drive is not modded then you need to download something like program to install a softmod or tsop flash save it to your memory card with a modded xbox and load up the exploit to the xbox with the info you want to save

Then use an exploitable game like 007, splinter cell, or mech Assult and then activate it and ftp the info to your computer then transfer to the new box after its modded

If I had it I could do it in less than 7 minutes and slap it on a cd

thanks for your help, one last question though,im gonna go with the first option, because i have those xbox to usb connectors, whats the gui i need touse to transfer the files, or would my xbox just pick it up and allow me to transfer, my xbxo is modded, so would i have to cut on the modchip to do this...thats all i wanna know...how ould i copy and paste the stuff...holla back

You don't have to know what chip you have. It's enough that you have a chip. The easiest thing would be to either install Evox on your Xbox, but for two (both have to be chipped) it would be easier to just create a Xbox disc that boots the xbox to Evox. This will (if you have the xboxs plugged into a multi port router) allow the router to assign IP addresses to each Xbox plugged in. You then use this IP information, plus the username password combination in your favorite FTP client. Then, you can drag the game saves from one Xbox harddrive to your PC desktop (wherever), fire up the second Xbox, connect to it, then transfer the files from your pc to the second Xbox via FTP. It works sort of in reverse from backing up games (if you've ever done that).

You just boot up your xbox as normal and then goto the memory option the xbox will see your usb drive as a huge memory card (if you are using an external usb hd or many flash drives)

It doesnt matter if your xbox is modded or not with this

Think link that you pointed out above does not have the femal usb connector to stick a male connector into if you have a usb extender cable then you can just cut the lead and solder it to the cable that you pointed out in your link

The cable in the last link already has the proper usb female end so you can stick the regualr usb ext hd or flash drive up to it and its only $3.99

If you strip it down and if solder a female USB connector to the other end of it (a regular usb connector end wont work)

Then you can use it with and external HD or usb flash device

Nope hd and mobos are tied together unless you have a chip but you would still have to ftp did you read the networking link above?
