No matter what, I still can't convert .dat files from previously recorded VCD's. When I try to copy the .dat file from the MPEGAV folder of the VCD as has been suggested in other FAQ's, it will not allow it. Is there any way that .dat files can be imported into SVCD2DVD. The only reason I purchased your program was to convert VCD's to DVD's. I like what I see so far, but it isn't doing what was advertised.

rename the *.dat to *.mpg
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

...or do it properly, and extract the mpg using VCDGear.
