Hi, I have the 2 disc Incredibles. My 8 year old daughter loves the short
film "Boundin' which is on the second disc. I was wondering if it was possible to put this short film onto a disc with the main movie as I know
the originals are going to go the way of some her other discs because of
constant swapping. Any advice will be gratefully accepted. Thanks.

if you use clonedvd2 it gives you the option to remove what you want so you could just remove everything except that part you need

DVD Shrink can achieve this task. If you dont mind losing the menu.
Rip both disks to the hard drive (you can use DVD Decrypter), open DVD Shrink in reauthor mode, select the main movie from disk one and the short film from disk two, compress and burn.
Now you have a single disk with the main movie and the short film. -
Brilliant! I don't mind losing the menu but does Shrink create some sort
of menu that will allow her to choose which film she wants to watch? -

i bought it today here -- its in the stores here in some places ..

what i would do is extract the incredibles & boundin' from the discs, author w/ basic menu with tmpgenc dvd author.. if the disc is over sized for single layer dvdR, then resize with shink, dvd2one, etc..
by the way, i was at wal-mart today to pick up some dvd+r's and they had the incredibles dvd for sale.. big display and everything..
then agian, the wal-mart closest to me is a dirtrod wal-mart.. i purchased a 3-pack of verbatim dvd+r DL's for $3.38.. then i quickly rushed back and purchased the remaining stock (6 of them)..
i'm not sure how they could make a mistake as big as that, i thought their scanning system was centralized. -
good deal ... !

I really am sorry for all the debate this caused. My wife's sister bought it
in Toronto on Thursday evening as a present for my daughter. She brought it home with her on Friday. I was embarrased to ask her as it seemed as if I was accusing her of wrongdoing but she was Ok about it.
I can only repeat that it is an original copy. I've received discs in the past from Play & CDWow before their official release date. I've never questioned it, I've just been quietly pleased.
I would never break the rules of this site as I've found it to be invaluable.
I'd like to thank those who gave me great advice (as usual) with my
request and just to say that it worked perfectly, and to those who questioned the validity of the disc, I totally understand, but my request was quite innocent, based on the fact that the disc is a legitimate release.
Thanks again. -
It's obviously a legit disc. It is well known fact that alot of online and brick and mortar retailers don't hold to the date embargos on certain merchandise (i.e. The most recent Harry Potter book available days before the official release date, early release of the Star Wars Trilogy...etc...etc). There are some on this board that simply love to swarm posts like these and jump all over people. Notice those who first accused, didn't come back after it was stated that several others had gotten their copies early.
As far as your question goes... the suggestion lumis put forth is what I would do. Hope it works out! -
I've cleaned this thread up for you, deezer. Sorry about the trouble it caused you.
If anyone else has something to add, please ensure it is only to help deezer out. Thanks! -
Dear Cobra, thanks for the personal response. What happened will in no way put me off what is an invaluable site for someone such as myself with
limited knowledge of PCs. I wouldn't have been able to do half the stuff I've done if it wasn't for the good people of the site. I was a bit embarrased by the reaction of some but ultimately I knew I'd done nothing wrong. Anyway, thanks again, Deezer.
