    been having a problem converting a avi file, the original file length is 1hr 38min 7sec and the size is 656MB but when coverting it to dvd the file is 1.41gb and the length is 4hrs 54mins 24secs, does any one have any idea why this is happening, also with the coverted file there is no sound and the screen size has been shrunk by quite a bit, can any suggest anythin

    convert the audio in the video to WAV with avi2wav, virtualdub or goldwave and use it as audio source in tmpgenc.

    ok i got that but an ideas why the outcome files is so long?

    *UPDATE*

    i have jst looked 2 other files i have converted and it has the same problems, no sound and is over 4 hours long!

    Tmpgenc reads the total runtime incorrect from the audio...usually mp3 vbr audio. I always convert the audio separate when using tmpgenc or tmpgenc xpress.
