I've created an "avs" script to run in TMPGENc (2.5 Plus), as outlined by FulciLives (get well soon please) in "Pal to NTSC conversion". I have meticulously checked my spelling, paths, and syntax and cannot see what I am doing wrong!! TMPGENc ALWAYS gives me an error message and won't load the script! The Avisynth Ver 2 Plugins directory has nothing in it ..... should it?? It's got to be something really simple since it seems to work for everyone else. I've attached a jpg of the error that comes up. Any help appreciated.

  2. Avisynth version?
If it is avisynth 2.0 it will not work I think. You need Avisynth 2.5.x (2.5.6. is the latest
I have a habbit to check my avs everytime in Vdub - if there is an error in the script Vdub (oh, I am using VDubMod) will report it
About the plugin folder of avisynth I have all my plugins and avsi function in it and it save me the boring LoadPlugin(bla-bla-bla.dll) as the plugins are autoloaded.

  3. I think it's the d2v that tmpgenc is choking on, not the avs.

  4. Well, but DGdecode should decode it properly. If it was d2v file - yes, but in avisynth environment should be some mismatch or with avisynth version or with versions of DGIndex and DGDecode.

    Abond,
That was it !! I can't believe that I couldn't see this when I checked and rechecked all my sources and entries yesterday afternoon. When I went to gather all my software resources and went to the Avisynth site Ver 2.0.8 is listed at the top of the page with older levels descending. I naturally assumed that the latest was at the top, and it was, but in group 2.0 only. When I went back to look for a newer version at your suggestion I scrolled down and off initial screen there is another group with the latest 2.5.5 (I think) at the top. Seems peculiar to list it that way? Anyway .... I'm off and rendering now. The next task will be to see how DGPulldown handles it! Thanks too reboot for your response. I would not have surprised me to know that I had screwed that up too. In any case I really appreciate the responses! Without your help and the help I get from this site I would not attempt to do the video projects that I have so much fun with.
