After all my ranting about how much I like VP5, I've found a new problem (for me anyway). Up till this past weekend I've only created images. Until they fix the DVD issue, I don't really need to actually burn anything.

Well, I decided to try to make a mini DVD with it, and it refused to burn to a CD-R. I tried four different brands of blanks, and two different machines. After the buffer fills up, it just sits there.

I wont have time to call Roxio till probably the end of this week.

    Anyone else experience this?

PS: Can I just change the image extension and burn it with another program?

I've tried to burn this image in three machines: two XP's and one '98se.

Only the '98 machine was able to burn it. So I guess it's an XP issue.

Called Roxio and the tech said no one had complained about this issue to him b4. He gave me the usual useless tips when they don't have the answer (disable DMA for the drive, etc), which of course I had to try so I could tell them later that it didn't work.

And yes, the VP5 update for XP is installed.

  3. I don't know anything about the VP5 program; but I tried to make a mini DVD out of a short edited DVCII clip and it worked beautifully. I used my Creative DXR3 card ( which is using Hollywood + drivers on XP) to play the mini DVD. I used the Ulead DVD MovieFactory Trial to create the mini DVD.
    Anya rules!
