too many times trailers spoil a movie as they show bits of the good action. When it comes to watching the movie you then sometimes know what's going to happen. I don't need a trailer to know I want to watch certain movies and SW is one of them

Ice Age was brilliant wasn't it and I didn't know IA2 was due out

    Hello,

It practically writes itself now that episode 4 will happen 15-20 years after episode 3....

Lot's of things need to happen and people need to go places to set up A NEW HOPE...

Not story spoilers he's worried about.

He wants the eye candy to be fresh.

    As do I.

I want to be suprised by the visuals.

I want to go into Ep 3 as clean as possible.

Yup ... and, they'll probably drop in a few teaser references to EPISODE 7: THE FALLEN HERO, EPISODE 8: THE REPUBLIC IN CRISIS, and the final film, EPISODE 10: VICTORY OF THE FORCE. Of course, by the time Lucas cranks those out, I'll probably have to watch them in a nursing home (grin) ... with George Lucas in the next bed (he ain't getting any younger, either).

    Hello,

You live in Marin county CALIFORNIA?????

Besides - he'll probably have some one else direct the sequel sequels (what do you call 7-9 if they get made?? I mean the original trilogy is the orginal, the 1-3 are the Prequels, what would 7-9 be??? sequel sequels????)

But how could they reference events that would be thirty years later??????

  19. I have seen the website that has tons of screenshots and spoliers. The biggest one I saw was... (I made it really small so people couldn't accidently read it, just copy and paste it to notepad if you can't read it)

I'll see if I can dig up that page.

    ****spolier don't read******
    Yoda lost a lightsaber duel
    **** end spolier ****

    Edit:
Well, looks like the site is no more, but here was the slashdot article.

Actually, I found a page with a whole slew of Episode III photos (96) and a script file. The photos were phenomenal but the script file had been (ahem) blanked out. Hmm. Anyhoo, I downloaded the whole thing for posterity ... but since people here insist they don't want to be "spoiled," I'll keep them to myself (grin).

Also, from that page, here's another tiny spoiler:

******Tiny spoiler - do not read******

Obi Wan must fight a duel on a planet with the same name as an Air Force Base in Thailand. OK, OK, the website, if it's still up when you get there can be found at "lewed.net/ep3/index.html"

    ******End spoiler******

Having a page Slash-dotted can sometimes cause a bandwidth nightmare for the site owner, especially if it's a graphic intensive site. I suspect many of the sites with these photos go up and down and back up again. I doubt if Darth George and his imperial stormtroopers are shutting the sites down.

Actually (I can't believe I'm posting this) I heard this movie takes place only 3 years after the events in Episode 2. This makes sense as they would've had to age Hayden Christiansen to about 38, and it doesn't look like (in the trailer) that he's quite that old. More like early to mid twenties. Probably still a whiny bitch though.

  25. Wow, those are just terrible. It makes me glad he cancelled those plans. (Or are they now uncancelled?)

Ep 9 is appalling. (Um, do I have to spoiler this?) In the original trilogy, to me, the Death Star wasn't evil just because it was wielded by evil men; rather, it was intrinsically evil to build a weapon to destroy whole planets, and indeed, this was what most marked its makers as evil. So what happens in that synopsis of ep 9 is just... so very, very wrong.

    Hello,

Oh come on 7-9 aren't written yet!

Only a vague outline at all would have been developed as a "farout' possibililty by LUCAS. I don't think he had the prequels written until a few years before the production began. He wouldn't have anything in detail while he's still finishing EPISODE 3!

A lot of creative people like Lucas toss out ideas they'll never use, just to give them something to think about and keep the creative juices flowing. But when it comes time to do the actual work, new ideas tend to push out the old ones and only a smattering of the old ideas remain (if any remain at all).

FWIW, Spielberg hired a writer to do a screenplay for the 4th Indiana Jones film. At first, it seemed promising ... until everyone else who looked at it (including Harrison Ford) decided they hated it. The whole thing went into the trash (along with the playwright) and a new writer was hired. And as of a few days ago, it's questionable whether even the new screenplay will be used. LucasArts and Spielberg are cooperating on a project to release both the film and a videogame version of it ... and this may require yet another script and, sadly, another delay.

Too bad, if true. I have an (ahem) insider friend who gave me a synopsis of the 2nd screenplay and I'd have loved to have seen it. But who knows, maybe they'll use it and tailor the videogame to its theme.

    Hello,

Isn't it like the 4th or 5th screenplay for INDY 4 already?????

I'd love it but CRUZADE was so good anything else would be hard to live up to it - plus how old is HARRISON FORD now??? 60???? I mean come on - that's pushing it for an action hero like INDY - now if he was training his "son" in the movie then yeah that could be wild
