I don't have a link I can give out but there is a REALLY BAD quality version of the Episode III trailer out there.

I must say, it looks good. I've now got my hopes up, which likely means the fall will be all the worse.

If those French photos I downloaded showing scenes from the film are any guide, Episode III is likely to be the best Star Wars episode ever (visually speaking). I wonder, though, if the hype over Episode III will take some thunder away from the upcoming March 22nd release of Episode I on DVD? The retail price is $19.98, VideoUniverse says their regular price for it will be $15.89, but they're taking advance orders for it now for only $13.99:

I doubt if it'll get too much cheaper than that.

I'm guessing it's a different version, perhaps with footage added in or edited out. How many versions are there of episodes 4, 5 and 6? Must be at least two or three.

Well, i was wondering that also and when i looked it seemed to be the same as the one i bought from best buy when it first came out & i checked online @ BB and they did'nt have just episode 1 for sale on dvd, they only had it listed as a 2 pack of 1 & 2, then had the episode 1 for presale like the link you posted but i never knew they stopped selling just episode 1 alone ? i'm gonna have to look at BB when i go there tomorrow & see if they have just EP 1 on the shelf for sale without EP 2.

I read up on this in one of the Star Wars forums. The re-release is no different from the previous version, they just stopped producing them for a while and now are going to start up again. I guess part of it was to try to push people to buy the 2 pack with Episode I and II. It also maybe an effort to promote the release of Episode III by rereleasing Episode I at a much lower price to get non-fans of the genre to break down and buy it and hopefully become interested enough to go see the big finale.

Sigh ... I remember the good old days when a movie was a movie. Now, films are released as part of some marketing strategy to milk one niche or another. I remember when the VHS tapes for 4, 5, and 6 came out ... and then the "digitally remastered" 4, 5, and 6 with added bells/whistles.

I think I'll just wait till episode 9 comes out and buy the 9-pack set.
