    Hey!

    I started getting strange problems with my burner. It now sits and spins up and down for almost a minute before burning. Some discs (DVD-R), which it has been recording without problems before, it suddenly started refusing to burn. It only gives me calibration errors. The burner is less than one year old, is this normal behaviour?

    I tried DVD+R, and that brand seemed to work better, could it be the _r discs? The faulty ones and the ones i have succesfully burnt before is from the same pack.

    Any idea? Burner or simply crappy media?

    I had exactly the same happen and I cleaned the laser lens with a cleaning disc - Now it's like new again.
