  1. Hi,

I would like to save a dvd menu and turn it into a jpeg or something as I want to make cover artwork using the still menu pic. Does anyone have any idea or hints how I could achieve this?

    Thanks everyone for you time.

  3. Get DGIndex, open your VOBs, find the point at which you'd like to save an image

then go to File > Save BMP

Easy, but limited by gop boundaries.

Open it in POwerDVD and grab a still. Most players have a screen grab facility.

An alternative to still caps from a deinterlacing DVD player, you can also use a screen cap utility like

Success depends on how your display card handles overlay.

Another way is recording the menus with a camcorder video input.

Many ways to skin this cat.

As mentioned, I use PowerDVD to save a the current screen.

You can also open up the tiny .VOB files (they are the menus in many cases).

  7. Thanks for all the replies. I used the power dvd suggestion. It worked perfectly.

    Thanks again
