    My condolences. Go Athlon 64. If you keep your CPUs that long, you'll be running 64 Bit Winders in the relatively near future.

    I've still got a K6-III 400 going strong. That's too bad. The Athlon XPs seem to be a better deal now than the Socket A Semprons.

    The idea is I think he probably wants to keep his motherboard.

    One of the fans on the motherboard quit, and the cpu fan was having to work harder. It burned up the cpu and left a burn mark on the motherboard.

  7. Wow, Sorry to hear.
    Today I was cleaning the inside of one of my Computers,I just use it for storing files on the network,When I opend it I noticed the fan wasnt working,I dont know what made me clean it today any way that Cpu Must be about 4 years old ,Hope I get another 4 out of it.

    It was cheaper.

    I will probably get a socket 939 board and cpu later.

    The athlon 64 is awesome at shrinking a dvd.

    It used to take almost two hours to shrink, and now I can do it in about twenty-five minutes.
