Is it better to convert old VHS analog tape to DV prior to record with dvd recorder ? Can someone tell me the pro and con of my set up as following
a. JVC HRS-9911 --> Sony Hi8 pass through--> Sony DVDX900 recorder
b. JVC HRS-9911 --> Sony Hi8 pass trough--> TBC --> Sony DVDx900

I just realize that I made a mistake in one of my set up. Here is the set up:
a. JVC HRS-9911 --> Sony Hi8 pass through--> Sony DVDX900 recorder
b. JVC HRS-9911 --> TBC -->Sony Hi8 Passthrough--> Sony DVDx900 -
TBC ... corrects/stabilizes signal
No TBC ... nasty raw signalWant my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
