That has to be the best rating I have seen in a long time.

rima.com rocks. I am a nobody spending less than $100 per year on media, and yet they have sent me samples, received bad media without complaint, and their prices are very competitive. A little customer service goes a LONG way.

I too have been impressed with Rima. Last year I ordered two 50 packs of Ritek discs. I had problems with the discs, they gladly refunded my money. About a month ago I decided to try Ritek discs again and although I didn't have the same problem, I was having the common "freezing" problem that many people have - which I don't have with my other discs. I sent them back and they refunded me my money (minus the 4 discs that I used). How a company responds to exchanges/refunds/problems tells a lot about how solid they are. Rima gets an A in my book.

I don't put much weight on resellerratings ... lots of ballot stuffing can go on there.
Of course, that said, Rima is quite good.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Rimas a good company in my book, they sent me a couple ty samples (turned out badly min you) but they came in the mail in just a couple days). I would maybe buy from them but Id get Ridata (ritek) before the over hyped taiyo yudens!!!

For the last couple of years I ordered only from Rima.
Excellent company and everything! Highly recommended! -

Although I switched from Ritek to Taiyo Yuden a couple months ago, I never had a bad disc w/Ritek. I switched to TY because of the possiblility of deterioration over time w/ Ritek. It wasn't much more to buy TY than Ritek, so what the hell... I figure in a couple years I'll see for myself how they both hold up. -
I have noticed that RIMA representitives do frequent message boards such as http://club.cdfreaks.com (and probably here too). Any negative user post about rima (that I have read) has always ended up with that user satisfied, and often amazed after they were encouraged to contact rima's customer service. Most even have posts by rima reps.
Their shipping is reasonably priced, and fast. (I have got all my orders with in 5-6 days (not counting weekends).
Search various forums, and you will see the extent to which rima works for it's customers. Some people say dog is mans best friend. I say that man is dog's best slave... At least that is what my dogs think. -
TY is good media, but I will agree on it being overhyped. It is not "the best" but rather "one of the best". There are other great discs too! MXL, TDK, MCC, etc.

I've ordered from Supermedia store and Meritline and Rima. One thing that I've noticed is that the packaging that Rima uses is first rate. EXTRA heavy walled cardboard boxes with foam peanuts inside to protect your discs. It's nice to know that the discs you've paid good money for will arrive in perfect condition.

budz, nice to know..
about packing, if you buy full crates of media (500 pieces), you usually get sturdy boat-quality shipment boxes. I get those from everybody when ordering that much media. The empty box alone is hard enough to knock somebody out cold.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Well,
I have read all this good stuff about www.Rima.com so i hope they live up to it!!!
I just ordered a spindle of 100 inkjet printables,
The weird thing is i paid them with paypal, put in my order on their site that i wanted 3 day express not ups ground.
They just e-mailed me a confirmation with tracking # saying it was shipping by ups groundand i paid for the 3 day express!!
Ground is ($6.10) & 3 Day Select ($13.36)
I e-mailed them right away telling them and to make sure so i guess i will see what happens. but i will be very unhappy if they show up a week from now and were shipped ground when i paid double to get them fast!!!
Another weird thing, they gave me a tracking number but have yet to claim my payment through paypal ??
They Just e-mailed me back
Sorry for the confusion. Your package is being shipped today with UPS-3
day select. Your correct tracking number is:
That was a damn fast response!!!!!!!!!! -

I'm a long time customer of Rima.com. I'm not saying their service is perfect because there is no such "perfect" online store in the world. But, at least, they try their best to reach 'the best'. Now, you probably think that I'm from Rima.com. 8) I just love the service Rima.com gives me. Compare to other stores, I'm so thankful that I found a supplier such as Rima.com. Of course, they make mistake sometimes. But, guess what? They always listen to their customers and they always admit the mistake they have made and response in very short time. The most important thing is their price is the best.
Honestly, I don't care about the rating, but my own real experience. -
As a frequent lurker on this forum, I must say that I have been intimidated by the twists and turns of bad media, fake codes and inconsistent private labeling (Verbatim, Maxell, Fuji, etc.). I guess you could summarize that you are really are on your own if you expect to get good media at the office supply and discount electronics warehouses. I must say, you guys have been invaluable to me in separating the wheat from the chaff. Any way, I picked up genuine TY media from Rima. My order required some advice, and over the phone, I found them to be knowledgeable and helpful- a real departure from some of the other discount firms I've dealt with over the years. I would also point out that the order (very well packed, by the way) was at my doorstep the next day. For me, this may very well turn out to be the quickest path to a "coasterless" operation. Thanks again to all of you.
