Have always had to drag an ASSET to VTS-LAYOUT TWICE

With every version I've used, when dragging an asset up to the VTS
layout panel I have to drag it twice. The 1st time nothing happens, the
next time it works. Is this just my PC [the only one I have S2d installed
on - XP HOME, SP1] ?

While I'm in here, another "funny" - every time I start up S2D it checks
floppy drive A: Wzzup wit dat ?

I shall look to resolve the first issue.

The second is because the log file includes some system information about your HDD free space. It would seem that the API also checks all disks.

This happens to me too.

The solution is to click the asset once to highlight it, then click and drag it into the VTS.

It requires 2 clicks, not 2 drags. The first click sets focus I think.
