    i understand that the above DVD player is rather old (2 years) and I would like to find out anyone know how to know the firmware revision and is there a way to make it SVCD compatible.

    thanks.

    I don't think so, but it can be made to play SVCD's using the 'VCD Header trick'. Try a forum search if you don't know about that!

    tried the "vcd header trick" doesn't work with VCDEasy software. when using nero, the filesize increase by another 20%, therefore, a 700MB file was re-encorder to about 900MB that can't fit into a CDR.

    I used TMPGenc -> simple multiplex and then Nero to burn and they worked fine on my RV32.

    i use that as well, but the nero ask for re-encode of video and the final filesize increase that cannot fix into the CD-R.

    admement - > i actually uses TMPGEnc -> multiplex.

    Just click the button that says something like 'ignore non-compliant files'.
