    Does anyone here know how to save yahoo videos ( and Streaming videos period) to your HD. I can watch the videos fine, But thereare a couple of videos that yahoo has that I need to adfd to my collection?

    It really isn't possible, unless you use screen capturing software. This has many disadvantages; you have to disable hardware overlay in WMP and you are generally unable to capture at the frame rate of the source (unless you have a computer that is very fast, which I'm guessing you don't based on the 40gb hard drive...)

    There used to programs that captured the stream directly, but WMP has improved much since then and the great and wonderful (note sarcasm) Microsoft has prevented such fair use. This is the best way to do it, though, if you can find the software.

    streaming videos (non-copyrighted only as this would be illegal) can be saved using virtualdub

    I tried the screen capturing option that you guys spoke of and it really sucked. I did run up on a prog. called WM recorder; It's really great. Instead of capturing, it records the URL. The only thing that I don't like is that it only saves the file as .ASF. It also compresses the file tremendously (8.5MB) which causes quality of the file to be distorted.
