I just got a Yamada 6700 after lots of great reviews, only to find a bizarre problem.
It will not play CDs! I've tried CDR, CDRW, audio CDs, different types of disc, different types of files but nothing. The player comes up with "No Disc".
DVDs all play fine. DVD, DVDR, DVDRW - and all files on DVD play fine!
I don't understand why it would play DVDs with no problem at all but not play CDs.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Is it still brand new? If its less than 30 days old I'd return it to the store and ask for an exchange for another one. Probably the laser isn't working right.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Yeah - it's brand new. I'm sure they'll take it back - I just have to wait 2 days till they're open again! (I want it working now!!)

Sorry about the wait. Just pop in a few dvds and sit back until they're open
