  1. Well I spent the 60$ on the program and have made one DVD so far. I am using the program with DVDRebuilder (through this guide http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdrb.htm) and I am wondering if there is anything else I should know about this encoder or some of the best ways to get better quality out of my DVD copying? I mean it seems fine so far and all, but I am just wondering if I am getting as much out of the encoder as possible. Is it best to run it with DVD rebuilder or there are other programs that better fit it, should i change anything in the CCE customized settings in order to get better quality? I am just very new to all those and am trying to get the most out of my purchase. Thanks

You certainly don't have to run it through Rebuilder to get the most out of it - it's just the easiest way to apply CCE for dvd backups. When you use Rebuilder, it sets all of CCE's settings automatically, so you can't really tweak CCE by itself. However, there is a nice little app called RB-Opt (thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75202&highlight=RBOpt) that will allow you to change bitrate, CCE parameters, and avs scripts through Rebuilder. I use this pretty frequently to gain a little more control over my encodes. Now if you're interested in using CCE as a standalone, there is a very informative forum at doom9 that goes into depth about this: http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=37

My advice is do a lot of searches, and read earlier threads since most questions have probably already been addressed. There is a great deal of information on this and doom9's forums. good luck!
