  1. I have been looking for video animation templates that can be used in editing videos for special family events such as birthdays, sweet 16s, and annversaries. I would like to use them to create my own DVD menu background, or the opening slpash for a family video. Any one have a suggestion? Thanks!

Main Concept offers five free texture loops a month for free. I use them often. You can also order a disk of 100 for $9.95.

There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

  6. Thank you all for your replies. I have ordered the Wedding Toolkits from Digital Juice.

I also did a web search, and found a great website:

    www.3dtime.com

This one is different than others. It seems that I can use my own text, video, and graphics to create my own video animations. But it requires a software to render the animation into video. Have anyone used their templates?

  7. Just want to share with you. After I bought the Wedding Toolkits ($399) from Digital Juice, I decided to give a try to the Wedding Templates from the 3DTime, simply because I got the 3D-Album software as a Chirstmas gift and its cheep price ($39). What I can tell you is wow, fantastic! The Digital Juice's kits come with video templates and you cannot change anything except for the overall color. But the 3DTime templates come with dynamic 3-D animations and you can use your own text, image, lighting and object colors. I also bought their family templates and changed all the birthday and baby themes to wedding themes by myself! You can virtually change these templates into any theme you want.

    Hi vellepro,

    Thanks for sharing back.

I've had a closer look, based on your (rapturous) feedback and have a few questions.

When you get (download?) these effects / templates what format do they come in? MPEG (DVD quality)? VOBs? AVI (what type)?

I never realised that they could be customised, let alone to the extent that they can be...

Also, @ canadateck - That link you provided looks pretty interesting... Thanks.

  9. Hi Daamon, sorry for getting back late. I do not visit here often. I don't know the format of the package that I downloaded. It is plugged into a software called 3D-Album and where I render them to AVI, MPEG, or whatever the video format that I want, and I can select any output quality, DVD or HD. I havn't try HD yet. There is DVD MPEG formats, but no VOBs. You have to use DVD burning software to burn DVD. I usually use AVI output for editing.

OK, no problem - just curious. But thanks for getting back anyway.
