Its the "new" IT item. How many of you got them and how long have you had it. What are some gripes with it or things you love about it?

I got one for Christmas, from my wife. My only complaint is that some songs skip and I don't know why. They usually get fixed after I sync with itunes, but then other songs skip.

Alot of the Microsoftees I see have them. Like 40%.

    Seem nice, yet expensive.

IPod's are nice, but much too common in Seattle/Redmond Area.

I would something different just to be different.

I'm not sure what one is, but if I were given one it would be up on eBay within a week.

    Hello,

    NOPE!

I've got an offbrand AUDIOPHASE MP3 CD Player with an FM tuner.... Works great

700mb a disc is plenty. I burn a few albums on a disc - press random play and walla - happy playing for several hours....

Considered one, then I looked at the $$$$. Instead I bought the NOMAD zen 30G. It has most of the IPOD functions for a 100$ CAN less. Only problem it can't be used as a mass storage device. Needs special drivers for it to mount. Will not work on the MAC. Though I did find a hack, so I could copy to and from my Nomad. Only works in OSX -garman

yeah, I do love the external hard drive aspect of it. I do use that to transfer high-res images to/from work quite often. (pdf files about 55MB in size, usually deal with about 100 or so of those at a time)

I was trying to work out what iPod is just recently and me having discussion with my father who wants to know what the 'Mp3 player' is and how, where on the music?

He's seen an ad on this.

We were just curious what it is and how this works even though we have no interest on them.

I don't care of this iPod trash.

  23. I got an iRiver h140 instead... It doesn't look as nice, but instead I get:
    - double the battery life
    - fully functional remote
    - inbuilt recording to WAV/MP3 from mic, line-in, optical in
    - headphones, lineout, optical out
    - can be used as USB mass storage drive

    Regards.

    Sounds nice.

I might get one of these or a MP3 Cd player.

or I might not since I alreadyt have three or four PC's and since I am a big guy a normal tower is quite portable to me.
