    Hello,

So those that use a mp3 cd player like I do - how do you layout your discs????

Do you burn whole collections of single artists??? Do you group by style??? By decade??? By tempo????

I generally have a few "ARTIST" discs with JUST one artist on the whole disc. I like to be able to play any song from the artist. I also have dvd concerts I own converted to mp3. So I can go from studio to live and back again very nicely....

What's your approach??? I do have some "random" discs with just a hodepodge of mp3 files

No matter where I put the Mp3 files, they are sorted by artist, then by album and singles.

I don't have an Mp3 player as they are stored in a HDD of a PC.

    Hello,

Um..... Then why did you post here???

Yeah I know you can auto sort and all that.....

But I like to mix and match my mp3 groupings. And you can fit a ton even on a lowly 700mb cdr

I do have a CD-R of music, just one and this one can be played on a DVD player.

The artist and albums are in folders and the songs are in alpha order.

I can see it in the menu and select to play them.

What I do to get the songs in order of the original CD. How I do it is to put an alphabet before the song title just like these:

    A – Nowhere Man.mp3
    B – Sunny Day.mp3
    C - How Come.mp3

Anyway, I can’t find that CD-R? No matter?

It can play long hours and hours of music on a single CD-R on a portable player wherever someone goes.

By artist or genre. IE: soundtracks, holiday, with shortcuts between.

I tend to burn a CD for an entire band.

Then I use itunes to throw together fast CDs of random tracks.
