DVD -R 8X Coasters on Pioneer 520h-s

I've got a new pioneer 520h-s and the Fuji -R 4X disk supplied did a high speed copy just fine, but the Fuji -R 8X disks are not completing the copy. They error out, three in a row. Is anyone else having problems with 8X high speed copies? Is there possibly something I am doing wrong?

Yes the Fuji 8x come from Tiwan, but since pioneer puts Fuji DVDs in the box, you would think they would all work??

It's probably the media, I've heard mixed results with Fujifilm03 and ProdiscF01, look for made in Japan Fuji discs in the future if you buy more Fuji.

The only 8x discs I've used so far are about 40 Teon CMC AE1 8x discs on my Pioneer 420 (same recorder minus the firewire port), and they've all burned well.

Thanks, I was looking for the Fuji Japan Disks, but the only Fuji disks from Japan were +R. Guess I'll have to go out looking for some new disks.

I have the Pioneer 420, and have been successfully using Sony 8X.
