Hello,
Just purchased a new Ilo DVDRHD04. I recorded some programs from TV to the HDD no problems. Now I am trying to copy a DVD movie to my hard drive. Actually, I just wanted to play the DVD and record sections as I felt like it to the HDD while the DVD was playing but I couldnt figure out how. Too bad.....
So next I read the instructions and on page 34 it shows copying DVD to HDD. So I put in my DVD disc ( BTW it is a DVD ripped and burned using a computer to a DVD-R disc. It plays fine in the player! ) and when I follow the directions re: target -- browser -- select -- copy button -- I get this error message:
"The function you specified is not supported on this format."
So OK I try another disc ..... and another .....I even try pre-recorded NON-COPY protected DVD discs and always the same error message!
If this matters I upgraded the software from factory to: 1193 MV/LP Hacked
Filename: WMJA1193.D21
the upgrade went smoothly ....
Any ideas what the heck is going on?
Bernie

BernieR,
You can not copy standard DVD's to the HDD. You can only copy DVD_VR format disc. These are disc created in the ILO or on other DVD recorders.
The only way to copy any other type of DVD is to use a player and record it real time into the HD04.
