    Hi

    Returned my Samsung 711 for repair cause it skipped badly and didn't play VCDs. When I got it back they had replaced the "s-kit". Partnumber SKIT611. This is probably something from the 611 unit??

    Well, I can recommened every 711 owner to replace this "s-kit" cause now i can play VCD/SVCD without any problems! It doesn't matter what media I feed it with cause every brand seems to work. I had occasionally luck with Kodak gold/silver before the "reapair".

    possibly something directly related to the laser, the laser pickup or the decoder boards.

    or they altered the firmware
