I was trying to copy some files from one of my servers to my laptop and I wasn't paying attention to the fact that the pane I window I was dropping them into was the Recycle BinIt took me a second to realize why hundred of MB of files copied in a flash, then I noticed what I'd done. These files were stored on a server, but I was working with them through a mapped drive. How do I go about recovering the files, since they don't go to the Recycle Bin? (I had JUST turned off the delete confirmation not 5 minutes before. I'm so pissed at myself, even though they wouldn't have actually gone INTO the Recycle Bin, that popup would have reminded me that I was dragging to the wrong place. PLEASE, give me some tips. Unfortunately this will be my last post of the night because I'm groggy, but any suggestions are appreciated. To speed things along and save soem questions, the server is running Window$ 2000 Advanced Server, the laptop is running XP w/SP2 neither has been or will be rebooted before morning. Also, I DON'T have a backup of the files (kicking myself). The server basically WAS my backup.
TIA

easy recovery professional. you'll want to make sure you dont do too much stuff on the computer that lost the files, otherwise it might write over the data you're trying to recover.
