I am trying to find a way to play tv shows captured with my AIW9600 capture card from my Apex AD-1500. I would like to just burned the files to a rewriteable dvd and would rather not go through the authoring step as it seems like it takes a lot of time.
I have seen a couple people say that they could do this (DVD-MPEGISO or MPEG-ISO) but I was unsuccessful and I am wondering if I am missing something. Here is what I tried.
1) Large mpeg file burned to a DVD+R disc. Burned as a data dvd.
Result: Disc Error
2) Small mpeg file burned to a DVD+RW disc. Burned as a data dvd.
Result: Disc Error
3) Small mpeg file burned to CD-RW. Burned as a data cd.
Result: File played but not fluidly. Lots of jumps in both audio and video.
4) Small vcd file burned to CD-RW. Burned as a data cd.
Result: File played but had block errors toward the bottom of the screen. By block errors I mean large blocks were displayed incorrectly on the bottom third of the screen.
I just want to make sure I am capturing and burning the files correctly.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg

Thats one old unit you got there, there should be more info at nerd-out.com on it. I got regular VCDs to play but as you saw, they are sort of chunky.
