Might be dumb but when did Gitreel get banned?

I was just reading Yoda's superbowl thread and saw posts from both Tommyknocker and Gitreel. I know why TK was banned but I guess I missed Gitreel.

Just curious is all.

I created a new name and asked Cap to ban my other profile.

I then asked Baldrick to merge my post count.

Yeah he used both for awhile but has since gone to BAZOOKA full time - though got his post count from GITREEL mixed in :P

I noticed. Over 8,000 posts now vs. the 3,000 some he had as Gitreel. Well thanks for the clarification and getting me up to speed everyone, including Bazooka.

Of course. I still wonder if offline just didn't like me and wanted to ban me instead of giving me a warning like he should have. Baldrick got wind of it and un-banned me and applied a warning if I remember correctly.

This is getting stupid, it seems all the old schools are getting banned. TK was well clued and helped a LOT of people including me in the old days.

I know you mods put in a lot of work but when you go banning someone who helps others constantly you are kind of detracting from the overall existence of this site.

I cant be bothered to search for the origianl post (someone please refer me to the noobs thread) but a few confrontations cannot really detract from the contribution of an individual to help so many others when on the other hand other members (no names mentioned) post utter diatribe making this site shitter and shitter are allowed to persist.

Just my 2 cents, I am unempoyed now so expect more of this banter more often (unless I get banned also).

I'd have to disagree with you guys on TK. That's not to say that he wasn't an asset to the community in some ways, but his final hours were WAY out of pocket. I don't know if people tend to think less of it because it was directed toward one of the mods, but had the comments been directed at someone who was just a regular member, I think the mods or even Baldrick himself would be hard pressed to make a case for NOT banning him. I never liked or disliked him one way or the other, we never really had any dealings, but in the end his weight as an asset was unmatched by his weight as a liability.
