  1. I have a VCD2.0 that plays fine in my DVD player. I want to rip the files to be in MPEG format so I can edit them. I tried downloading and using IsoBuster, following the instructions in an article I found here on videohelp.com, but it produced zero-length files.

I've poked around some of my video software, including Easy CD/DVD Creator 6, Adobe Premier Pro 1.5, and InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2, and didn't find anything in any of those products that would help. I just started doing video capture and editing this past week, so this is all new to me and I realize maybe one of the products I already have can do it.

    Help!!!!!

Exactly what did you do with isobuster? Right click on the .dat file and select "extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames" is the method. I just finished doing some of my own and it worked for me.

    If in doubt, Google it.

Try changing the .dat extension to .mpg. There are only three instances that it did not work for me (out of 50). Of course, Isobuster is the proper way to do it. I have not tried VCDgear though.
