  1. Ok-
I am a newbie, I will admit that right now. I have 2 other posts on the forum and the like a bafoon noticed the NEBIE section. My appologies for that.

Heres my setup. I have a Creative CD-RW (no other drives in my PC). I bought a philips DVD stand alone player.

Since you CAN NOT just copy a dvd with a CDR Can I and how do I make a SVCD from a DVD just using a CDR burner?

I have nero 5.5 which has a VCD or SVCD option. But only having one drive, the burner itself, do I drag the DVD file to a folder on the pc then attempt to drag that to the nero screen and thus create the SVCD? Would this work?

If I have to get like 5 programs to do this , I am giving up now. Just buy them....

I am trying to save DVD costs and am splitting them with my Bro. But if its like 2 hours for one disk to burn and create, forget it....HE HE HE...

Honestly any serious steps to do this would be helpfull...

    Thanks again
    Spankey

How often are you going to post your question - here the link from yesterday

Oh and by the way, what I forgot in the original posting:You cannot play or rip your DVD in your CD-R(W) drive. The only way to get the files into your pc is via a DVD drive (someone elses even who then sends you the files via the net, a zip of something else like that!) or via a capture card.
