By "blend" do you mean "join" (one after the other, obviously) ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Are you intending to leave the final product as a joined AVI, or are you going to convert to VCD/SVCD/DVD ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Don't worry about joining the AVIs then. COnvert each AVI to a DVD-compliant MPEG (http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm might help you with that) then let your authoring software join the 2 MPEGs together.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. HI THERE.

jim, this guy might want to permanantly join the 2 avi's togeter and encode them both as one dvd mpeg file, then burn to dvd, which to me would be as good an option too, he can then import both avi files to say tmpgenc 3.0 to trim anything he needs out of them, then output both the avi's as one dvd mpeg-2 file while encoding, then he is left with 1 x dvd mpeg file prior to authoring, this is what i usually do if i have say 2 or more avi clips i want as one (but i always keep a copy of all my dvd mpeg-2 vids on my pc to watch) but if he doesnt need the avi's or mpegs again after burning, then it wouldnt matter either way, your way would be the way to go i guess.

just an option, if its done your way, he is still left with 2 seperate dvd mpegs on his pc anyway, a flip of the coin both ways in my book

if no cutting is required on either avi, he can simply use the much faster MAINCONCEPT encoder and encode both avi files as one dvd mpeg-2 file.

    just a thought.....GLEN
