  1. Ive noticed that DVD shrink is slowing down again, I t happened before and I ended up restoring my pc and after that it went faster again. Now I noticed that its going slow again when i use it and I think after shrinking so many movies, eventually it will slow down. So what I did was I put a movie that I have shrink before(already deleted old movie files) and did not analyze dvd anymore, it already went to the main screen where u see all the menus and stuffs. So I think somehow when u shrink a movie , some info will be in ur pc memory, unless u do a system restore,Anybody knows where to look for that, I dont think that its in the dvd shrink folder cause I tried reinstalling already, didnt work, so from 30minutes now it takes more than 1 hour.

DVDShrink saves the results of the initial analysis of a disc as well as the deep analysis results on your hard drive - do a forum search for "DVDShrink Documents Settings" and you'll be able to find the exact path. IMHO I don't think it's got anything to do with that, though. It sounds more likely to me that some of your system files or possibly even your ASPI layer are causing the slowdown - this is certainly justified to me by a system restore seeming to cure these issues. You may want to watch that your drive isn't slipping into PIO mode (as opposed to the preferred DMA mode). I don't think a system restore would change this, but it might be worth looking into.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. To make your dvd shrink run faster again. Double click on your C drive, local disk, double click on documents and settings, double click on all users. you will see a dvd shrink folder, open it and youll see all the analyzation reports you ran with shrink. Delete all the files. Thats what I did and it went faster again. (windows XP). someone posted this from way back and it worked for me. thanks

Have you got "Show hidden files and folders" enabled ?

As I said earlier, do a forum search for "DVDShrink Documents Settings" and you'll find a few posts that tell you exactly where these files are.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I cleared out my DVDShrink files and BINGO....back to "Sir Speedy" for me. Mine were not in the exact same place though but the above link showed me what to look for.
Each analysis was saved to it's own hidden folder....and in that folder was a DVDShrink executable.
I must have placed the program in the wrong place or something.....that and my computer is German....the translations are hardly ever "word for word"...
Thanks for the links and advise guys.
