  1. Hello, I'll be setting my WinTV-PVR-USB2 to record the Super Bowl while I'm out, and we're talking maybe 7 hours of continuous recording. The resulting mpg file will probably be about 25 or 30GB. Will I be able to actually edit a file this size? I've had no trouble thus far editing 10-12GB files in Womble, but am concerned about the size of this file. Comments, please. Thx.

If you have been able to do 12GB with success and are using NTFS, it should work assuming adequate empty disk space for the file and the capture buffer is on the same drive.

Watch out for screensavers or power settings. Those have killed my long caps in the past. It wouldn't hurt to record a vhs tape as a backup.

if you have a newer computer it shouldnt be a prob. ive dealt with larger files than that. like ed said, watch out for your puter settings. turn power saver and screen saver off, after you start capturing just turn off the moniter itself. good luck
