    Is there a free program for cutting out parts of various dvds to my hd? I tried Chopper XP and it works for some of my vobs but alot of them it gives me an error about it cannot open it. Any ideas or suggestions of other programs?

    Use DVD Shrink. Use the re-author button and add titles you want to DVD compilation window. Select the Start/End frame option to extract the portion from the title you want to store on your HD.

    You can also use DVD Decrypter I think.

    Thanks dvd shrink worked great... I didn't realize it had those capabilities besides usual backups!
