Cutting WMV into multiple parts

Hey guys and gals sorry to trouble you, been looking for what feels like forever trying to find a good cutting tool for WMVs.

I have been using windows movie maker, but this is backwards in the way it works as i import a wmv and then cut, export as a new file, then load the original again and cut the first bit i cut out, plus another bit to create the second clip etc

what i am looking for is to import the wmv, and see the whole movie on a timeline. then just mark sections where the movie is to be cut, and when im done export all these sections as individual clips. Cost isnt an issue, obviously free is better, but if not free then maybe a trial to test and see if its what im looking for!

(i have attached a rather crude picture to try to visually explain what i mean!!)

I hope that made sense and any help would be much appreciated!

You may find MOVICA very helpful. It is a free tool that cuts wmv and mpeg files as well. I have been using it for a year now without any problems. Go to the home page "http://sourceforge.net/projects/movica/" and download.
