    Hi, is there a way to extract the Close captions form a DVD ?? or extract the timing of the closed captions? thanks

    Yes, I have a web site devoted to this: http://www.geocities.com/mcpoodle43/SCC_TOOLS/DOCS/SCC_TOOLS.HTML. One of my tools works with VobSub to quickly extract captions from DVDs (VobSub itself already converts the captions to subtitles, so if that's all you want, search for "VobSub" under VideoHelp Tools).
