    There is a section in TMPGnc under advanced that is called "Inverse Telecine"and is checked. Do I have to have this checked when converting avi to svcd?

    It's going to depend on you original framerate and desired output framerate. Inverse telecince will change a telecined source back to film rate (24fps). Any time I tried IVTC, I used avisynth. In my experience, you're better off leaving it alone.

    When you say "leave it alone", do you mean to leave it checked or unchecked?
