  1. I made a svcd from avi and when playing it in my TV dvd player, it skips or stutters 2 or 3 times during the movie for a second or 2. I used the guide from LeeBear and the quality is excellent but I get the stuttering problem once in awhile.
When I rewind back to the part where it jerked, it doesn't do it.
Does anyone know how to correct this problem or why it's doing it?

did you do any framerate conversion? ntsc to pal or pal to ntsc?

  3. No framerate conversion.
The only thing I did was, in "frameserver", "Resize to" I chose
"DVD 720x480/576" instead of "SVCD 480x480/576. Would this have anything to do with it?

Could it be too high bitrate for CD media? (If it looks good @ DVD res, you got to have pretty high bitrate.)

  5. So if you set it to DVD it will encode with a higher bitrate than SVCD?
Does it do it automatically or do I have to change a setting?

  6. My max bitrate was set to 2530.

Don't know what "it" is, but that bitrate would be max SVCD bitrate. But I've actually been having probs with any CD based video > 2000 kbps total (a+v). It depends on player, I guess.
