What side is Count Dooku on? Why did he create the robot army? Why was the clone army created? Isn't the clone army and the robot army (created by Dooku) on the same side?
I'm quite ashamed to admit that this was a topic of conversation at lunch.

Dooku appears to be on Palpatines side. He created the clone army because he wanted it used in the war. Once the coup was complete he would have an instatly subserviant army.
this is opinion btw -
The clone army wasn't commissioned by Dooku... it was commissioned by another Jedi *me goes to look up name* who went by the name of Sifo-Dyas.
More info here:

It's all basically a conspiracy to get rid of the republic & bureaucracy. This allows an agent of the dark side to place himself as the leader of the entire federation, the clones, and pretty much the whole galaxy. There's very little we know about Sifo-Dyas when he was alive, but that too may be based on point of view according to the way Jedi think. You get a greedy trade Federation to believe they can take over an area with the help of someone from the council. They create a mass army. Then you have a revolution on a planet, but the droid army is larger than initially thought and on a larger hidden scale. How do you fight it? Since it was an early plan the clone warrior program was set up, so they would be ready by the time the droid army was ready to fight. now you have 2 sides of a conflict. Most people will side with the republic's clone army for protection from the droids. Once everyone falsely thinks they are same under the umbrella of the republic army, you destroy the republic and create a single empire that uses terror and force to rule the galaxy. Honestly, it takes EPS. 4-6 to figure this out completely, but having the first 3 EPS. let's you know how they accomplished the creation of the Empire.

Yeah Chancelor/soon to be Emporer Palapatine also know as Darth Sidious has Dooku as his Sith Apprentice. Dooku also goes by the name Darth Tyrannus.
Those two, the Sith, are the only ones that know that Palpatine controls both sides the Techno something( the droid army) and the Clone arny of the Republic.
I was watching Episode four A New hope and I noticed something.
When C3PO and R2D2 land the escape pod on Tatooine, why doesn't C3PO recognize his home planet?
But I thought of an explaination. being that C3PO's main function is a Protocol Droid he probably has to use most of his harddrive space (or whatever type of storage he has) for Protocol. So he only remembers other things for as long as he thinks they are necessary.
He has to erase memories of his "life" so that he can remember what his duties are for the day and who his owner is and so forth.
What do you guys think?
Also does anybody in the movies know that Anakin is Vader.
I mean does Yoda know and what about the general public. Does John Q. Imperial citizen even know that Darth Vader exists?
Wait I guess at least Obi Wan knows who Vader really is, but who else knows?
This does not seem clear to me.snappy phrase

I love Star Wars but I am becoming very very sick of it.

C3PO Does not keep any information about location or the stars. That's What R2-D2 would be used for. Protocall would only be a service driod and not require such type of ability. C3PO barely recognized Anakin as his maker. C3PO also does not store people's names and even some events. "I'm not good at telling stories. Or making them interesting anyways." Another thing is they jettisoned out of a ship and crash landed the pod on the planet. He would have no clue where he was until someone told him. Even Luke didn't tell him. "If there's a bright center to the universe, you're on the planet farthest from." It seems like there are holes, but really they haphazardly fall into place.

Hello,
Doramius - Spot on there about DOOKU
Also - in EPISODE 3 C3P0 is supposed to have his memory wiped. That SHOULD explain why he never tells LUKE who VADER is(also possibly that C3P0 wouldn't be directly present for the climax when Anakin ACTUALLY becomes VADER

They've done a good job about not hhaving too much contact between any 1 droid and Obi-Wan. In fact, Obi-Wan hasn't had any big contact with C3PO that I can recall, if any at all.

Something tells me that by the time it comes out, I'll already know everything that happened.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
A Viral you already do know. The episode after it has been made. The only reason to watch Episode 3 is to see some Light Saber action. At least that's the only reason I am going to see it. I gave up on the story after Watching Episode 1.
Spoiler:
Anakin becomes Vader.snappy phrase

So with Episodes 1 and 2 seem to keep it working. R2 was with Qui Gon throughout Episode 1 mostly. And Obi Wan was seperated from Anakin and c3p0/r2 for the bulk of episode 2. (though he had R4 - presumably a generic JEDI droid since he doesn't "remember owning a droid" - doesn't say he never used em

R4 that's the red trash can in his ship right?
Well the ship Obi-Wan flew in Ep2 didn't belong to him that was probably a Republic owned ship.
When you are in the military you usually don't own the vehicle you use while on duty.
Another question is why did Lucas make the decision to make the Jedi like Catholic priests?
I thought I was the only one that noticed this, but Dave Chappelle did a skit about the jedi being like Catholic priests.
Another thing did you ever notice how everybody hits on Princess Leia. Han Solo, Luke, Lando, The Ewoks, Jabba the Hut, Vader, others in Jabbas palace, Obi Wan, ChewBacca, some droids and more.
But nobody hits on Queen/Senator Amedala.
I like Natalie Portman more than Carrie Fischer, but all the characters in the Prequel Trilogy ignore that she's is pretty hot.
I thought of a solution for this too though. Anakin is doing aJedi mind trick on all the other charactars so that they don't see that she is hot.
He waves his hand, Natalie Portman is not hot"

I'm honestly so lost on what's happened in recent SW movies that it's not even funny. But thanks to everyone in this thread I'll never have to watch them ever again.

Samuel L Jackson supposedly has a good fighting scene where he dies in a blaze of glory. Hopefully it doesn't end up like the final battle against Darth Maul. Qui-Gon was such a disappointment with that sucker bump to the face. Would've been nice to see Darth Maul make it to the next movie, but you've got a bunch of years in which you need to explain how Dooku follows the Dark Side.
I honestly, hope that of anything Lucas Releases to DVD, is the animation short from Star Wars Holiday Special, and possibly make more connecting animations to link TPM with AOTC, ROTS with ANH, & ESB with ROTJ. They just give a nice feel as to what happened between the main story. I mean you have to see the animation in the Holiday special to understand what HAN meant when he said, "Well, the bounty hunter we met on Orin Mandel changed my mind." at the beginning of ESB. -

Did you see that thing on the Bonus disc with the Trilogy about how they tried to film the light sabers in principle photography the movies wouldn't have been nearly as good with the cheesy rotating reflector swords. -

Yoda your post style is quite distinctive.
I spend too much time here. I know people's posting style.
I am pretty sure Boba Fett will kill Mace Windu out of revenge.
What other PG movie has a father getting decapetated in front of his son and multiple girls in thongs and Natalie Portman on a cold day wearing a tight shirt.
I think the ratings board doesn't even watch his stuff. He could put the scene from Briown bunny and still get pg -
