  1. Hey all,
Glad to see the ever great vcdhelp.com still active. Used it many times.

Anyhoo, I'm having a problem authoring a DVD with several AVI files I have acquired of tv shows. Nero VisionExpress 3 worked great, until tonight. A AVI encoded with MP3 audio just isn't working. I can play the file using any media player just fine, but Nero doesn't include the audio in the final product. The video is perfect, just no sound. And to add to the confusion, not all AVI's are having problems, just a select few. Even when I preview the DVD project before I burn it, there is no audio.

Totally weird. Using VideoInspector, it reports I have the correct codecs installed....

Any thoughts gurus out there? Should I run an AVI fix util against them? If so, what do you suggest?
    Cheers!

Probably mp3 vbr audio. Use virtualdub or goldwave and convert the audio to wav( www.videohelp.com/virtualdubaudio and import it separate in nerovision express. If nerovision can't do that save as avi with wav audio in virtualdub, just select video->direct stream copy in virtualdub and the video wont be reconverted.

Or use separate encoders like Tmpgenc, Mainconcept MPEG Encoder.

  3. Thanks Baldrick. It was late last night, and I tried DivFix, and rebuilt the index. All working AOK now.

    Cheers.
