    What authoring programs will allow me to add scrolling text to a motion background ?

    Also, is there a program that will allow me to have motion thumbnails scroll to a postion on the screen, play for awhile, and then scroll off the screen ?

    Some of this is easy to do with animated gifs and Ulead DVD Workshop 2.

    You'll need an animated GIF program to make the GIFs. Adobe Image Ready would work, but there may be easier ones.

    For the other thing, make a video in Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Video, and then use that as the background menu video.

    None of this sounds hard, just a bit of time to do, some planning, and the correct software.
