  1. Hi new member here.

I got my TV card about a year and a half ago on my old Windows XP PC. Worked flawlessly. But I bought a new computer this time last year and the only signal I can recieve is my console. My PC was optimized by a techinitian. The shop could not fix them problem. The computer basically blew up and i recieved a new one and the TV card worked flawlessly, I took my PC for a case swap and he fiddled around with th bios and conifgured it and it hasnt worked again since. Maybe any of of you know what he may have done. I have a Intel Chipset not certain of the name tho. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanx in advance,
    Luke Reeve

I am also a user of the Haupauge WinTV USB 2. So I'll take a shot at this.
First thing to check is wheter the USB port has been disabled in the BIOS.
    Post what you find.

You may also check that in Device Manager the USB hubs show that they are workihg properly.
Another thing to check is - do the drivers start when you start WinTV2000. Do you get an error message.
Is the WINTV PVR powered up. Check by looking for the red LED on the inside being on.

  4. Thanks for the reply but Drivers are intact and the USB is enabled. It still plays consoles which is what bugs me, I have tried different TV ariels from the VCR and different VCRs. I am really confused as to how this is all happening! It worked fine at one point.

  5. I'm not sure if anyone cares but I solved the problem. My motherboard went wrng so I got a new one. Something which was fiddled with in the BIOS before had affected the Card!
