When I capture, using my DV connection, I get a window stating only 17 minutes will be captured for a full 4gig disk. Is this right? Only 17 minutes? I have tried to change the settings, but I am unable to locate them; if they exist. Any help would be great.

You can fit about 20 minutes of DV-AVI on a DVD, if your "capturing" using type 2 that may account for the additional 3 gigs.
You do realize that you need to convert the video to mpeg to create a playable DVD?
