    I picked up their demo version and it has some fun lightsaber effects (to name a few).

    Just wondering what everyone's views of alam is...

    I used it a few years back (version 1.something - came free on a magazine cover). Had some nice features - muzzle flashes, light sabers etc. I think, in it's niche, it is a good little program. It's not a substitute for a full compositor, but for what it does, it's pretty good.
