Hi there,i have a DTS audio wav file,which i have tried to play with wmp and all i get is a sound like a record being scratched by a needle(if you know what i mean).
Do i need to install a particular codec or something to play this file?
Thanks for any help given.

use the search function -> this question had been answered a billion times (Moderator - donīt you think itīs time for one more sticky
)
try VideoLan Player (VLC) -> itīs the only player so far I know which could handle DTSWAV -
Burn it to a CD and put it in you DVD player. If you have digital out to your amp, you will hear it.
-> requires a digital connection (optical/coaxial) no L/R Chinch! -

as far as I tested it with f.e media Player classic /WMP this works only with padding DTS files - nope with DTSWAV
