I have this file that works fine in the computer, but strangely my player (BDP3200) will skip it. It doesn't show video error like profile 5.1 videos or 10 bit videos.

I have tried demuxing it to change the profile, changing the audio to lower quality, but the symptom is the same.

    Here's the info:

I've been trying to work this out for the last couple of hours, but I didn't managed to put MeGUI, Haali and ffms-2.16 to convert this. Do I have to reencode the whole video to change that vfr to cfr?
    Thanks.

  5. Try remuxing in mkvtoolnix first, without timecodes

Make sure header removal compression is disabled or use v4.0 or older

Then, check for sync on PC media player

If it's out of sync a lot, you probably have to re-encode it (and even that might not work)

I demuxed it (setting profile 4.1) with tsMuxerGUI and remuxed it with tsMuxerGUI (.ts format) and mkvmergeGUI (as a .MKV), both results are playable in the computer normally, without desync, however mediainfo still shows that they still posses variable framerate.

uncropMKV apparently managed to reencode it to constant framerate, but the uncropping function couldn't be unabled (400px -> 480px - black bars on the side too...), not a big deal; and it was faster than I'd expect, It took half an hour to solve this 2h length video.

I don't know that player's capability but here are some flags

    Format : Matroska
    Format version : Version 2
    File size : 1.95 GiB
    Duration : 1h 55mn
    Overall bit rate : 2 412 Kbps
    Writing application : HandBrake 0.9.5
    Writing library : libmkv 0.6.4.1
Try mp4 container. Players have issues with MKV

    Width : 720 pixels
    Height : 400 pixels
    Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Not standard. Try letterboxed 720x480 or 848x480 (square pixel)

    Frame rate mode : Variável
    Frame rate : 29.970 fps
    Color space : YUV

    Scan type : Progressive
Variable framerate may be an issue

The closer you get to Blu-Ray standard, the more likely it is to play. Check the manual for acceptable formats.

I used DirectShowSource with convertfps=true and it worked out fine, now it's cfr, took some time, though.
