I'm guessing that most stores will end up having 8x for the same price. I know this has been the case on their other recent sales where it was listed as 4x and even 1x on their website, when in reality it was their 8x media as well that had been on sale.

Its okay but not that hot. Office Depot has 8x Maxells for $4.99 for 15 (mine were TY). Staples, $3.50 for 20 of the same 4x disks.

You guys have no idea how pissed I am.
I called BestBuy (or I like to call them: Satan's Anus) and asked someone to see if the Fuji DVD-R were make in Japan, the guy said yes.
I drive there and all the Fuji DVD+R are made in Japan and all the Fuji DVD-R are made in Taiwan.
Those bastards are so incomptent! -
Yes most Best Buy media guys know less than nothing and only give out wrong info.
I talked to one guy at the Best Buy in Northgate and I think he must be a user of videohelp.com.
When I said Fuji he said you want Made in Japan right I said yes I like the Japanese ones better he said Yeah they can be burned at higher speeds and give better results.
It was a phone conversation, but I felt like he gave me a wink over the phone to let me know that he is part of this Fight Club/Project Mayhem we call videohelp.com
I love backing up DVD's that ArcCos thing and the Star Wars Trilogy gave me an adrenline rush. They probaly spent millions trying to stop us...
And it worked...
for a few hours
My geek is showing dagnambit.
Anyone wanna talk about B5? Just kidding about the B5. I love it when people call it B5 it's the height of geekness.
Sorry if you are offended by my Babalon 5 comments. -
Frankly the employees aren't paid enough to be that knowledgeable. I wouldn't even bother asking questions.

Made in Japan are definately good discs.
I love them my coaster rate with made in japan fuji DVD-R is less the 1% using my NEC 3520.
And you have Pionner 108so they should be even better with your drive.
BUt unfortunately Everybody is saying that the 25 packs of DVD-R are all made in Taiwan. Ithink they are still good disc just not quite as good as the Made in Japan Fuji DVD-R.
People have said that the DVD+R in 25 packs can be found in the made ion Japan variety.
I can not confirm this I am just going by other people's posts.
There might be 25 packs of DVD-R Fuji that are made in Japan. The supply might vary by region.
I am probably going to Best Buy soon to check form y area.snappy phrase
I don't know what you're talking about. -
