So many problems with my AR-230 Help Me!!!

hello everyone,

A while back I purchased a refubished Gateway AR-230 from a liquidator that sells off of ebay. At first it worked pretty good but now the thing wont read any disk I put into it, including your everyday DVD movie. I contacted the seller and they said it came with a full manufacturer warranty and that I should contact them first. However, before I call I have some questions.

1. How long is gateway's warranty? I looked all over, online, manual ect and it isnt mentioned anywhere.

2. I installed Lite-on's 1163 firmware upgrade on the machine and as you all know all the graphics say lite-on, did I void the warranty doing this? If so, I've had no luck getting it to flash back to gateway's version, is it possible?

3. The seller did send me a reciept for my purchase, however, is this a valid proof of purchase for gateway to accept?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions here but if anyone knows anything about this stuff please help me out, I really appreciate it.

I talked to gateway and they said that they'll take it back but I still need to bring back the gateway firmware. Does anyone know how to do that??
